I have always found joy in working with children and contributing to their services, nurturing a warm, caring environment for young ones. As the eldest of twenty grandchildren, I’ve naturally stepped into the role of a 'mother-hen' figure, embodying that nurturing instinct that comes so easily. My journey has been filled with memorable moments, including my time as a School Photographer. I cherished the opportunity to work full time while juggling the joys of motherhood, even continuing right up to my due date with my second child, knowing all too well that the timing of birth can be unpredictable—my first, Jarvis, was two weeks late, after all.

Life had its own plans for us; after living with our in-laws for five months, we finally moved into our new home when Jemimah was just four weeks old. The moment was both exciting and overwhelming, as the nursery wasn't ready yet. With an endless snag list and little details like curtain poles needing attention, it seemed we had a long way to go before creating a comfortable space for our new addition.

As a new parent, shopping became a new kind of challenge, especially with a hungry newborn and the added complexity of navigating a cow's milk protein allergy. The stress of finding suitable feeding solutions for a baby who was frequently unsettled made shopping for soft furnishings feel almost impossible. I envisioned creating a delightful animal-themed nursery, but every time I sat down to gather the necessary accessories, it became apparent that finding everything under one roof was a challenge in itself. The prices at high-end retailers like John Lewis were daunting, and I certainly didn’t want to deal with multiple shipping fees for individual items from various stores.

And so, amidst these challenges, the seed of Rockermumma was planted. After nearly ten years of dedication and hard work, we are thrilled to see our vision come to life. Our mission is simple: to alleviate some of the frustrations and hurdles that come with sourcing products for children, particularly those with specialized needs, like a cow's milk protein allergy.
